29 Août ENFIN ROUSES POINT   La journée commence comme celle d'hier.  Ciel couvert, petite pluie fine et il fait froid.  Mais ce qui nous stimule c'est que aujourd'hui c'est NOTRE DERNIÈRE JOURNÉE !!! En effet nous devrions atteindre ROUSES POINT cet après-midi. Nous levons donc l'ancre après une bonne nuit de sommeil.  Heureusement il n'y a pas de vent donc nous avons une bonne vitesse de croisière et pas de vagues qui fessent dans la nacelle sous le voilier. Avec le GPS nous pouvons estimer notre arrivée vers 1630.  Le moral est bon mais il nous faut boire une bonne cup-a-soup pour se réchauffer avant l'apéro de 1100. Et pour dîner nous avons une bonne crème de champignons chaude accompagné d'une grosse tranche de pain beurrée.  Lise prend la barre pendant que je mange ma soupe. Après dîner le soleil commence à percer au travers de la couche nuageuse.  Et lorsque nous atteignons enfin ROUSES POINT à 1641 il fait une superbe température avec soleil et tout. En passant je montre à Lise le chalet que nous avons loué pour la fin de semaine.  Elle le trouve super. En conclusion, on peut vraiment admirer l'exploit que Lise vient d'accomplir.  Partie de Ft-Lauderdale le 17 Juillet pour arriver à Rouses Point après un mois 1/2 de navigation.  Je lui lève mon chapeau ainsi que ma calotte de capitaine que je n'ai pas acheté.  Je suis fièr d'elle et agréablement surpris de ses capacités.  Je ne suis pas inquièt pour l'avenir.  Si un jour nous partons faire le tour du monde comme prévu avec Lise comme co-équipière c'est certain que nous réussirons. BRAVO LISE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mais il ne faut surtout pas oublier que tout ceci fut possible grâce à notre bon ami Ken Weller, qui s'est offert pour aider Lise à remonter le bateau de Fort Lauderdale à New York.  Possédant un catamaran semblable, il était la personne idéale pour ce voyage, et il a réussi sa mission à la perfection. MERCI KEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!	August 29th FINALLY ROUSES POINT The day is like yesterday.  Cloudy, rainy and cold.  But we are really excited because today is our LAST DAY !!! We should reach ROUSES POINT this afternoon. We pull up the anchor after a good night sleep.  Fortunately there is no wind today and we have a good speed.  But the best is we have no wave against us that would hit the bottom of the boat. With the GPS we can predict that we should arrive at 430pm.  The spirits are high but we need to drink a cup-a-soup to warm us up before apperitive time at 11am. For lunch we have a great mushroom cream with a thick bread slice covered with butter.  Lise take over the helm while I am eating. Soon after the lunch the sun peek a little through the thick layer of clouds.  And when we reach ROUSES POINT AT EXACTLY 441pm it is with a clear sky and a bright sun. Just before the marina I pointed out to Lise the house we rented for the weekend to welcome all the family and friends that will come to celebrate with us.  She thinks it looks really great. After few days with Lise and seeing what it means to leave on a boat day after fay I have to confess that I admire what she accomplished.  Having left Ft-Lauderdale on July 17th to arrive in Rouses Point after one month 1/2 of sailing I can only applause. I am really proud of her and I have no doubt that if we go sailing around the world as planned I would definitely choose her as partner for the challenge and I am sure we will succeed. LISE, CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But we must keep in mind that all this was possible thanks to our good friend Ken Weller, who offered us to help Lise to bring the boat from Fort Lauderdale to New York.   Owning a similar catamaran, he was the ideal person for this trip and he succeeded in his mission. THANK YOU KEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C'est encore très nuageux le matin. It's still very cloudy in the morning.	Nous croisons un traversier. We met a ferryboat.
Lise fait un somme sur le deck. Lise having a nap on deck.	Nous arrivons à la Marina Lighthouse, notre port d'attache pour les 4 prochaines années. We arrive at Marina Lighthouse, our home for the next 4 years.
Un "Wharram" est au mouillage. A Wharram design cat on her mooring.	Elle a réussi ! She succeeded !
La ligne horizontale grise en haut de la carte c'est la frontière.  On peut voir qu'on est pas très loin du Canada... The grey horizontal line at the top of the map is the borderline.  We can tell that we're not far from Canada...
